  1. Greetings,

With your permission I would like to send the final press release on a new book that is now available, “Black Inventors, Crafting Over 200 years of Success”. This book cites a number of inventions by black women globally from 1868-2007. It is one of the most comprehensive books on black Inventors since Henry E. Baker’s “The Colored Inventor” and Burt McKinley’s “Black Inventors of America”. This book is currently listed on http://www.collectionscanada.ca, http://www.copac.ac.uk, http://www.nielsenbookdata.co.uk, http://www.sabinet.co.za, and http://www.worldcat.org.

Most recently the State Library of New York invited Mr. Holmes to do a lecture and book signing in Albany, NY., on Feb. 8th, 2010.

Our publication was selected by the NCTE to be a part of the 2011 African American Read-In. In addition our book was cited by the Arundel County Public School Science committee with the following comment on the evaluation form: “could be used as real world examples in class or for student research.”

We have documented black inventors from five continents, over seventy countries, including almost all fifty states in the United States. This book cites a number of black inventors from 1769 – 2007, as well as a few Native American inventors from the 19th and 20th Century.

Our publication also cites who sixteen African American inventors inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, including Andrew J. Beard, Dr. George Washington Carver, Dr. Charles R. Drew, Marc E. Dean, Dr. Percy Lavon Julian, Lewis Latimer, Norbert Rillieux and Granville T. Woods.

We have also documented numerous African inventors who have received gold medals from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

We have also included a number of Black inventors from the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America.

This book is an important resource publication for individuals, libraries, organizations, schools and universities.
We are currently filling orders for national archives, libraries, universities, schools, organizations, and book shops:

Our first publication is now in 25 out 50 of the top college libraries in Canada and the United States and 4 out of 10 of the world’s largest library systems . This book can also be found in 10 out 20 of Canada’s largest cities.

  2. Generally I do not make comments on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so. Really nice post!
