Website Ranks the HBCUs With the Best Online Program Offerings

Online College Plan was created to assist parents and students in learning about all of the options available and how to plan ahead for an online college education. It conducts research and presents a number of rankings of online college programs.

The latest rankings on the group’s website is the “Top 20 Best Historically Black Colleges with Online Programs.” HBCUs were ranked by the quality of education provided as well as by the number of online programs offered, and the ease in which students can take these courses.

North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, was rated as the top HBCU for online programs. Online College Plan stated that “the university was ranked first because of the incredible quality of education and has degree programs that are offered fully online and in an asynchronous format, allowing for a very customizable experience as students complete their program of choice.”

Other HBCUs listed among the top 5 in online program offerings are Tougaloo College in Mississippi, Howard University in Washington, D.C., Tuskegee University in Alabama, and Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
