TV highlights: ‘Pretty Little Liars’ returns to Freeform

Famous in Love (Freeform at 9) After landing a role in a Hollywood blockbuster, a college student (Bella Thorne) struggles to balance her old life with her newfound fame. The drama was co-created by “Pretty Little Liars” showrunner I. Marlene King.

Problematic with Moshe Kasher (Comedy Central at 10) The comedian hosts discussions of some of the most contentious topics dividing the Internet in this weekly series.

Cooper’s Treasure (Discovery at 10) This documentary series explores a treasure map created by NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper, who saw anomalies from space that he believed to be sunken ships, including the lost fleet of Christopher Columbus.


L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later (A&E at 9) This is the first of several documentaries marking the 25th anniversary of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which began after a jury acquitted four officers of assault in the videotaped beating of Rodney King. The two-hour film, produced by John Singleton and directed by the duo behind “Nas: Time Is Illmatic,” connects the unrest to ongoing issues between law enforcement and African American communities.

Frontline: Last Days of Solitary (PBS at 9) This documentary follows Maine State Prison’s efforts to scale back the use of solitary confinement and the challenges of transitioning isolated inmates back to the general population.


Trial & Error (NBC at 10) The verdict is announced in the mockumentary’s two-episode season finale, but not before Josh makes the risky decision to put Larry on the stand.
