David Crockett, an associate professor of marketing in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, is the recipient of the Williams-Qualls-Spratlen Multicultural Mentoring Award of Excellence from the American Marketing Association.
Dr. Crockett joined the faculty at the University of South Carolina in 2002 and was promoted to associate professor in 2008. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri. Dr. Crockett earned a master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Ph.D. in marketing at the University of Arizona.
Anjelica Gonzalez, the Donna L. Dubinsky Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Yale University, received the 2018 Diversity Award from the Biomedical Engineering Society. The award honors outstanding contributions to improving gender and racial diversity in biomedical engineering.
Dr. Gonzalez joined the Yale faculty in 2015. She is a graduate of Utah State University and holds a Ph.D. in structural and computational biology from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, has established the Carroll F.S. Hardy Scholarship Endowment to honor its former associate vice president for student affairs, who died in 2012. Earlier the university named a dormitory – Hardy Hall – in her honor.
Dr. Hardy was a graduate of Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, where she majored in history and political science. She held a master’ degree from the University of Memphis and an educational doctorate from what is now Clark Atlanta University.
